James Mansfield & Sons Co., Inc. was established in 1890 and is a family-owned roofing contractor. We are members of the Chicagoland Roofing Contractors Association (CRCA), the Midwest Roofing Contractors Association (MRCA), the National Roofing Contractors Association (NRCA) and the Association of Subcontractors & Affiliates (ASA). We are one of the largest roofing contractors in the Chicagoland Metropolitan area and have performed roofing and sheet metal work on projects such as MPEA Expansion, Chicago State University, many schools, hospitals, warehouses and other various projects.

James Mansfield & Sons, Co., Inc. is a union shop and is affiliated with the Roofers Union Local #11 and the Sheet Metal Workers Union Local #73.

James C. Mansfield, Sr., Chairman, is a past president of the CRCA, past member of the CRCA Labor Committee, past assistant chairman of the Grievance Committee, past trustee for the Roofers Union Welfare & Pension and past director of the CRCA, MRCA and NRCA. He has been with the company for over 60 years.

Jay E. Refieuna, President, has been with the company over 30 years and acting president since 1987. He is active in all areas of the company’s operations (ie: sales, marketing, estimating, project management and installation). He is the current chairman of the Joint Apprenticeship Committee, as well as the first chairman of the Illinois State Roofing Advisory Board. He is a past president of the CRCA, a past director of the CRCA, MRCA and NRCA, and a recipient of the CRCA’s Clyde Scott Award.

Michael T. McMillin, Vice President, has been employed with us since 1990 and is active in all areas of the company’s operations. He is a current director of the CRCA as well as the chairman of the Program Committee and Education Committee. He is a member of the CRCA Ad-Hoc committee for new roofing specifications for the City of Chicago.

James C. Mansfield Jr. has been with our company over 30 years and is an active estimator/project manager. He received his bachelor’s degree in Building Construction Technology from Southern Illinois University.

Jason Refieuna has been with our company for over 10 years and is an active estimator/project manager. He received his bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering and Technology with an emphasis in Construction Management and a minor in Business Administration from Western Illinois University. He began working in the field and is familiar with all types of projects.
